Nestled among the larger suburbs of Reynoldsburg, Gahanna and New Albany is the quiet community of Blacklick. A little bit big city — close to shopping, restaurants and less than 30 minutes to downtown Columbus — and a little bit country — you can still find a corn field or two, close by. And, within this community you will find the subdivision of The Woods at Jefferson.
While the subdivision is included in the Blacklick area it is actually incorporated as part of the City of Columbus, and therefore benefits from the city’s services, including: water, sewer and trash disposal. The subdivision also includes a city park. Educationally speaking, the subdivision is served by the Licking Heights Local School District.
The Woods at Jefferson is a M/I Homes development begun in 1996 with a total of 707 homes in the mid-size range — approximately 1,200 to 2,000 square feet. The builders in the development include M/I, Dominion and Homewood.
